Hello you, and welcome to the Star Paws Photography website! Star Paws is a custom pet photography service based in the north east of England.
I'm Sue - that's me over there on the right with the gorgeous Galah perched on my lens. Animals of all sorts do seem to love me, which is a great advantage for a pet photographer ;-)
A bit of background.... after 20+ years of working in a corporate environment, I suddenly became ill and had to take time out from work. I'd pretty much hit rock bottom when a little bundle of puppy-sized fluff called Millie came into my life and changed everything around. She gave me a reason to get up in the morning and made me realise what was really important in life – fresh air, having fun and doing what you love to do!
I spent some time thinking, in between long walks, playing on the beach and taking endless pictures of Millie, and realised that what I'd always loved to do was just that - take pictures. I wanted to capture everything about Millie, and know that in years to come I could look back on those images and be reminded of all the happy times we had together.
And so the idea of Star Paws began to form in my mind - the thought that maybe, just maybe, there were other people out there who were as crazy about their pets as I was about Millie, and that they would treasure beautiful images of their pets too.
In 2009, after a lot of research and hard work, Star Paws finally became a reality. Now, all these years on, I'm a full-time professional pet photographer, and proud to say that much of my business comes via word of mouth from clients who have been so delighted with the service and quality of images that they've recommended me to their friends and family.
I can honestly say I've never been happier. Seeing the look on clients' faces (and sometimes even a tear in their eye!) when they see their images for the first time is so rewarding, and getting amazing feedback is the icing on the cake. Oh I love cake by the way, that's another thing about me ;-)
Finally, the furry family has been extended since we got Millie. She now has a little sister called Mabel, and we also share our home with the real 'top dog', our cat Bessie! If you follow Star Paws on Twitter or like us on Facebook you'll no doubt get to know more about all of them!
